Troopers To Discuss Crash That Killed Six Teens
Investigators are ready to share more details about a crash that killed six Ohio teenagers when a speeding SUV flipped into a pond. The State Highway Patrol planned a news conference Thursday afternoon to discuss the circumstances of the crash March 10 in Warren, about 50 miles southeast of Cleveland. The lingering questions include how fast the vehicle was traveling, where the teens were before the crash and whether anyone might be charged.
The 19-year-old driver was among those killed. Authorities say she didn't have a valid license.
A coroner determined five teens who were trapped in the SUV and a sixth who was ejected and found underneath the vehicle had drowned. Two boys escaped and sought help.
