Enid, OK : Teen injured in 2-vehicle collision at Phillips Road and U.S. 81 on Friday morning, December 16, 2016
A 17-year-old Enid girl was injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle collision at Phillips Road and U.S. 81, according to an Enid Police Department report.
Cheyenne N. Webb was taken from the scene of the 11:13 a.m. collision by private vehicle to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with non-incapacitating head and leg injuries, according to the report.
Webb was northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81 in a 2000 Pontiac when her vehicle was struck by an eastbound 2014 Ford F-150, driven by Rex D. Bland, 57,of Enid, according to the report.
Webb said she was traveling north and saw Bland was not going to stop for her and hit her vehicle, according to the report. Webb said she turned a little to the right prior to the collision.
Bland told police he was eastbound on Phillips Road and crossed the southbound lanes of U.S. 81. He said he did not see any northbound traffic and began to cross. He said he then saw Webb’s vehicle and hit her vehicle.
Bland was not injured in the collision and was cited for failure to yield right of way.
