Two dead in car crash Near Lakeland, florida

A St. Petersburg woman was in critical condition and two were killed Sunday after a Lamborghini slammed into the woman's car.

The accident occurred on University Boulevard shortly before 3 p.m. when a green Lamborghini driven by Tiffany A. Beene, 24, of Kissimmee, crossed the grassy median and into the path of a 2013 Nissan driven by Chi Yan Chan, 43, of St. Petersburg.

Both Beene and a passenger in the Lamborghini , Samuel J. Hampton, 24, of Winter Haven, died Sunday night at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
Chan was listed as critical at Lakeland Regional.
A passenger in Chan's car, Tan P. Phan, 22, of Pinellas Park, was treated at the hospital and released. The impact of the accident scattered debris for 1,000 feet. Police said there was no evidence of impairment in the crash. An investigation is continuing.
