Cedarburg, WI : A 4-year-old child has died in a two vehicle crash at Ozaukee County On Monday, August 1st, 2016
A 4-year-old child has died from injuries suffered in a Monday evening crash involving a dump truck, an Ozaukee County official said.
The child was a passenger in a black Ford Focus that was struck by a truck at about 5:45 p.m. after the driver of the car failed to stop at the intersection of Bridge and Granville roads in Cedarburg, Capt. Christy Knowles with
the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
The child was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, Knowles said. The driver of the Ford, 35-year-old Kristin Stewart, of Jackson, had injuries that were said to be not life-threatening.
The driver of the dump truck, 57-year-old Richard Keuser, of Slinger, was not injured, Knowles said.
Alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash, the captain said.
