Lubbock, TX : 36-year-old Lubbock driver riding stolen motorcycle at time of fatal wreck on Sunday, October 12, 2014

Lubbock police say a 36-year-old man was driving a stolen motorcycle when he fatally crashed into the front yard of an area home. Thirty-six-year-old Agapito Pena Jr. was pronounced dead on Sunday. Police say he was driving at a high speed when he hit a curb and was thrown from the vehicle. They say he struck a street sign and landed in a resident's front yard. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died. Police say the motorcycle had been reported stolen. They didn't release other information about the bike or the cause of the crash.
