ROY, UT : Rider transported in serious condition after motorcycle vs minivan crash in Roy on Thursday, 6th July 2023

A motorcycle rider on Thursday was transported to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash in a Roy intersection.

The collision happened at the 3500 West and 5600 South traffic light at around 5:45 a.m. on July 6, according to police.

A public information officer with the department said the rider was traveling east on 5600 South when it entered the intersection. The driver of a silver minivan turning onto 3500 West didn't see the motorcycle and drove directly into its path.

The rider was wearing a helmet, police said.
