Ashton ,IL :Man Critically Injured in Accident Involving FedEx Truck on Monday ,June 29th 2015

An accident involving a FedEx truck early this morning leaves a man fighting for his life.

It happened around 7 a.m. in front of the Crest Foods facility on IL. 38 west of Ashton. A FedEx truck was leaving the facility when it was hit on the driver side by a Chevrolet Trailblazer. The driver of the Trailblazer, Robert Williams, 32, of Franklin Grove was critically injured. He was transported to St. Anthony's hospital in Rockford.

The driver of the FedEx truck, Michael Roth, 36, of Indiana and the passenger in the Trailblazer, Shan Manning, 37, were both uninjured.

The accident is currently under investigation.
