Cincinnati, OH : Douglas Smith, 27, died after car crashed into a utility pole in Lockland on Tuesday night, April 28, 2015

Alcohol and speed contributed to a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night that killed a 27-year-old man, Lockland police said.

Douglas J. Smith of Cincinnati died after the car he was driving hit a utility pole on Shepherd Lane just north of East Wyoming Avenue at 10:13 p.m.

Lockland police said the incident is still under investigation.
