HUDSON, NH : Hudson woman injured, cited in crash on June, Tuesday 27th 2017
Hudson police officers are investigating the cause of a single-car crash that sent a Hudson resident to St. Joseph Hospital early Tuesday night.
Ann Speer, 38, who suffered non-life threatening injuries due to the crash, was cited for negligent operation of a motor vehicle after it was determined she was not wearing a seat belt, according to a police press release.
A preliminary investigation determined that shortly before 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, Speer was traveling east on Wason Road when her 2008 Nissan Altima went off the roadway, according to the release. The car struck a mailbox before slamming into a utility pole.
The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and the airbags deployed, police stated in the release.
Wason Road was reduced to one lane in the area of the crash for approximately 45 minutes until the damaged vehicle was removed from the scene, according to the release.
Eversource was contacted to assess the damage at the scene.
The Hudson Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
