Harrison County, TX : Three people killed in crash near Marshall on Saturday, June 18, 2016

Three people are dead after a Saturday crash about ten miles south of Marshall, according to troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash happened just after 4 p.m. Saturday on State Highway 43. Victoria Sherman, 21, was driving a 2002 Mercury at an unsafe speed and crossed the center line, troopers said. A truck pulling a trailer in the other direction hit the side of Sherman's car and both landed in the bar ditch.

Sherman and her passenger, Angel Rollans, died on the scene. Both lived in Marshall, according to DPS.

A passenger in the truck, who troopers identified as Michelle Johnson, 44, of Union Grove, Alabama also died in the crash. The truck’s driver and another passenger were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
