TAKOMA PARK, MD : Deadly hit-and-run crash under investigation in Montgomery County on Monday, 3rd June 2024

A person is dead after they were hit by a driver while walking in Takoma Park early Monday morning. Police say the driver left the scene of the crash, and they are still searching for them.

According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Pete Piringer, the crash was first reported around 1:15 a.m. near the MegaMart on University Boulevard, near Anne Street. Investigators say the person was hit while walking in the area.
