ANTIOCH, CA : Two teens injured in solo vehicle crash on Wednesday, 7th September 2016

A pair of Antioch teenagers are in critical but stable condition at a hospital after their vehicle crashed Wednesday afternoon, police said.

At 1:39 p.m., officers responded to calls about a solo crash on Hillcrest Avenue at Lone Tree Way, and found a rolled-over vehicle.

Officers learned that an 18-year-old male driver with a 19-year-old female passenger was driving southbound on Hillcrest when their car left the road and struck a fire hydrant before rolling over, ejecting the passenger.

Emergency responders took the pair to a hospital. Police investigating the incident said speed was a factor in the crash.
