El Paso, TX : Man dies after motorcycle wreck on I-10 West on Saturday morning, October 15, 2016

One man is dead after crashing his motorcycle as he was riding down Interstate 10 West on Saturday morning.

El Paso Police Department officials said 57-year-old Michael Wittenbrink was riding a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle near the Geronimo Drive exit when he lost control and crashed into the center median of the highway. He was transported to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The crash shut down lanes of I-10 West for several hours.

No other information was immediately available.
