Sioux Center,IA : Teen dies in Sac County farming accident on December, Saturday 16th 2017

A teenager died Saturday afternoon in a farming accident near Wall Lake, authorities said.

Ethan Glenn Nissen, 17, was killed when an end-loader he was driving rolled over shortly after 12:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the Sac County Sheriff's Office.

The release said Nissen was scooping manure using a 200 Caterpillar end-loader in the 2100 mile of 340th Street, northwest of Wall Lake, when the incident occurred. Nissen was working for Quirk Farms.

When first responders arrived, they found Nissen inside the cab, according to the release. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Those responding included the Sac County Sheriff's Office, Wall Lake Fire and Rescue, Sac County Ambulance, the Sac County Medical Examiner's Office and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Game Warden.
