Tallahassee, FL : Pregnant woman killed in Brevard I-95 crash on Monday, December 26th 2016
Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a Monday evening crash that killed a 26-year-old pregnant Fort Pierce woman.
A medical examiner determined Tuesday the fetus wasn't viable, according to highway patrol spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes, so no death certificate will be issued for the fetus. If a death certificate had been issued, the fetus would've been recorded as a second fatality.
Ariel Adams died at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne after she was ejected from her vehicle during a three-car crash around 5:45 p.m. just north of the U.S. 192 interchange on Interstate 95, Montes said. Adams, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, was a passenger in a 2003 GMC SUV driven by James Amman, 28, of Fort Pierce.\
