MERIDEN, CT : One person was hospitalized with minor injuries after a two-car crash on Tuesday, August 15, 2017

One person was hospitalized with minor injuries Tuesday afternoon after a two-car crash on Lewis Avenue by the Interstate 691 entrance.

The crash occurred about 4:45 p.m. Smoke was initially coming from one of the cars, according to dispatch reports. A black car had moderate front end damage, while a white car had rear-end damage.

Traffic was delayed in the area as emergency crews responded.
