HOUSTON, TX : Motorcyclist killed in southwest Houston crash on Bellfort Avenue near Buffalo Speedway on Wednesday, 12th December 2018

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Wednesday in southwest Houston, according to police.

The crash was reported at 7:27 a.m. on Bellfort Avenue near Buffalo Speedway.Houston police said that a school bus driver had just retracted the vehicle's stop sign when the motorcycle drove around it, hit a curb and crashed.

The 82-year-old motorcycle driver fell off the bike, and died while being taken to a nearby hospital, police said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
