Stephenville, TX : Trucker killed in Krugerville crash on U.S. 377 near Stewart Road on Wednesday, 9th January 2019

A man was killed when his commercial trash truck slammed into the back of a rock hauler truck on U.S. Highway 377 near Stewart Road just after noon Wednesday south of Krugerville, Northeast police confirmed.

Northeast Police Chief James Edland said the driver of the rock hauler walked away without major injuries.

“It’s just an accident at this point,” the chief said. “We don’t have any clear understanding of what caused it.”U.S. 377 was closed for several hours Wednesday, but Edland said Wednesday afternoon that the road would likely reopen by early evening.
