Pensacola, FL : Pedestrian dead in Navy Blvd. crash early Sunday morning, November 20, 2016

One of three pedestrians struck in an early-morning car crash just past midnight Saturday has died of his injuries, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Driver Bryant Zachidny, 19, of Pensacola, was traveling westbound on Navy Boulevard approaching Old Corry Field Road at about 12:05 a.m. The 2001 Chevy Lumina struck three pedestrians walking north in the crosswalk.

Nicholas Murphy, 19, of Pensacola, was taken to Baptist Hospital, where he later died. A second pedestrian, Breona Mackoff, 18, of Pensacola, was also transported to Baptist Hopsital with critical injuries.

A third pedestrial, Zachary Gurney Meehan, 19, of Pensacola, received minor injuries and was not hospitalized.

Zachidny was not injured in the crash. Alcohol was not a factor, according to the incident report shared by FHP.
