Waupaca, WI : 86-year-old Manawa man died in car crash on Monday November 16 2015
An 86-year-old Manawa man died when the car he was driving the wrong way on a four-lane highway struck a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old girl, the Wisconsin State Patrol said Monday.
Du Wayne Dobratz died in the crash that occurred in the eastbound lanes of state Highway 10 near Waupaca about 6:15 Sunday, authorities said.
The 17-year-old girl from Wauwatosa suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash, the State Patrol said.
It was not immediately known why Dobratz was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes near Anderson Road as the investigation is ongoing, the agency said.

The wrong-way driver died and the driver of the eastbound vehicle was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, according to a press release from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Officials said the crash occurred around 5:30 PM near Anderson Rd.
No names are being released at this time. Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the crash.
