ST. CLOUD, FL : Officers search for driver in St. Cloud hit-and-run crash

A pedestrian is fighting for his life following a hit-and-run crash in St. Cloud.
Police said the victim is being treated at Orlando Regional Medical Center for life threatening injuries.
Officers said just after 9 p.m. Saturday drivers on Canoe Creek Road and Camalot Boulevard saw the man lying on the side of the road.
The drivers stopped to try and help the victim, and when police arrived they determined that the man had been hit by a vehicle that left the scene.
“We do suspect that our driver’s vehicle probably has some sort of right side damage, maybe to the right side mirror or passenger side window,” said Dhalyn Lakey with the St. Cloud police department.
Police said they are still working to notify the family of the victim before they release his name.
