WATERBURY, VT : Teen breaks leg in car crash on Sunday, 21st August, 2016

A St. Albans teen broke his leg after Vermont State Police say he crashed his vehicle on Interstate 89 Sunday night.

Police say Dakota Hotchkiss, 18, was driving southbound in Waterbury when his Pontiac G6 veered off the road and hit a tree and a rock. Police say it was raining and Hotchkiss was driving over the speed limit.

Police say he was ejected from the vehicle and his car came to a stop in the passing lane, which caused traffic delays.

The crash is still under investigation. Hotchkiss was transported to Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin.
