Iuka, MS : One person died and three others injured in 2 car head-on collision on the Natchez Trace Parkway on Saturday, May 9, 2015

One person is dead, and three others are hurt following a head-on collision between two vehicles on the Natchez Trace Parkway Saturday.

Tishomingo County Coroner Mack Wilemon says 61-year-old Sheila Bellocq of Metairie, Louisiana, was driving north when her car struck a southbound car driven by Cara Russell of Smithville.

The accident happened around 6:15 p.m. near Highway 30.

Bellocq died while Russell and two other females in her car were flown to a hospital.

Wilemon adds that Russell's husband, Andrew Russell, was riding in the car with his wife but was not injured.
