Dallas,TX : 1 arrested in Dallas wreck, police car goes into creek bed on June, Saturday 3rd 2017
Dallas police have arrested a teen accused of driving a truck that investigators say hit a patrol car and sent the law enforcement vehicle into a creek bed where bystanders saved the officer.
Dallas County jail records show 17-year-old Ivory Keith Nails was being held Sunday on charges of accident involving serious bodily injury and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Bond was $100,000 for Nails, who was arrested Saturday night in a different vehicle that police say was reported stolen.
Senior Cpl. Dale Ordogne's squad car was struck May 29, forcing the vehicle down about 25 feet into the creek bed. At least 10 bystanders freed the officer, who's being treated for broken bones.
Jail records don't list an attorney to speak for Nails. He's being prosecuted as an adult.
