Benson, MN : Murdock teens injured in Benson crash on Wednesday night, February 22, 2017
Two teenagers from Murdock were injured Wednesday night in a rear-end crash on State Highway 9 in Benson.
According to the State Patrol, Kendra Christine Wentzel, 17, and Katelin Grace Wentzel, 15, were transported to Benson Hospital with non-life threatening injuries following the 6:45 p.m. crash.
Kendra Wentzel had been driving a 2003 Chevrolet Impala west on the highway, with Katelin Wentzel as a passenger.
When a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado slowed in front of the Impala on the wet road to turn left, near 20th Avenue, the Impala rear-ended the Silverado.
Silverado driver Samuel Nord Honebrink, 40, of Benson, was not injured.
All had been wearing seatbelts, the Patrol said.
