Wellesley, MA : A majestic oak crashes on Jefferson Road in Wellesley on Saturday, 20th August, 2016

Katherine Macdonald sent this photo of a huge tree that came down across Jefferson Road about 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. The oak was over 75 feet and at least 3 feet wide, she estimated. As it fell, it took out the upper limbs of Macdonald's trees across the street.

"The good news was no one was hurt," she said.

It took until 2 p.m. to clear away the tree, install a new light pole to replace a pole that was snapped and reinstall wires on the pole.
