A 30-year-old Newberry man died in a single-vehicle accident on State Road 45 Wednesday night.

Emanuel Hernandez was driving a 2003 Chevy Silverado north on the highway around 9:34 p.m. when the crash occurred, according to a Florida Highway Patrol media release.

The truck went onto the paved east shoulder of the road, traveled back onto the road and began to spin around in a clockwise manner, according to FHP. It then went off the road to the east and hit a large tree.
