Largo, FL : Hilarino Gonzalez, 39, killed in pedestrian accident on Ulmerton Road in Clearwater on Saturday morning, November 15, 2014

A 39-year-old Largo man died early Saturday morning after he was hit by a car while crossing Ulmerton Rd. in Pinellas County. Hilarino Gonzalez Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene just before 4:30 a.m. According to a Florida Highway Patrol report a 1996 Acura Integra driven by Bounphisit Champa of Largo was traveling west on Ulmerton when he struck the pedestrian. Gonzalez Jr. was walking from the north side of the roadway to the south when he was struck. Champa, 38, was not hurt and alcohol did not play a role in the crash the report states.
