Gilmer,TX : Two people were killed and Three were injured during the crash on July 17th 2014.
Two people were killed and three were injured during the crash.According to Trooper Jean Dark, at 8:50 a.m., two vehicles collided after an Eclipse headed west lost control, veered into the eastbound lane on State Highway 154 and hit a Mustang. The accident took place about 11 miles west of Gilmer near the Wood County-Upshur County line. The Eclipse's driver was identified as Anibal Munoz, 30, of Winnsboro.
At 9:20 a.m., Wood County Justice of the Peace Jerry Parker pronounced Munoz dead at the scene. Funeral arrangements are being made at the Lowe Funeral Home in Quitman.
Dark identified two other passengers inside Munoz' car as Rodolfo Macario, 29, and Fracisco Munoz, 44, both of Winnsboro. They were taken to local hospitals. Rodolfo is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at a Longview hospital. Munoz is in stable condition.
The Mustang was driven by 16-year-old Brody Stuart. He was taken to a Tyler hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Harmony ISD cheerleader was pronounced dead by Dr. Stephen Gale at 12:48 p.m. Funeral arrangement are being made at the Crowley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
A 16-year-old female passenger was also in Stuart's vehicle. The Harmony ISD cheerleader was taken to a local hospital. She was treated and released.
The crash remains under investigation.
