Melrose Park, IL : Seven people were injured in a three-car crash at Thatcher and North avenue On Tuesday May 10th, 2016

Six people were hospitalized after a crash near the border of River Forest and Melrose Park in the western suburbs early Tuesday, officials said.

The River Forest Fire Department responded to the three-car crash near Thatcher and North avenues about 5:30 a.m.

Seven people were injured, and one of them did not want treatment. Four were taken to Loyola University Medical Center and two were taken to Gottlieb Memorial Hospital.

Three were in serious-to-critical condition, two were in fair condition, and one was in good condition.

The patients ranged in age from 17 to 73, fire officials said. Four were male and three were female, according to the River Forest Fire Department.
