Deadwood, S.D : Three injured in head-on crash near the Broken Boot Gold Mine on Sunday, January 1, 2017

Three people, including a pregnant woman, were transported to area hospitals Sunday following a head-on collision near the Broken Boot Gold Mine, Deadwood Police Chief Kelly Fuller said Tuesday.

Police responded to the scene on U.S. Highway 14A shortly before 4 p.m. and found that a Chevrolet Avalanche and a Ford Expedition had collided, Fuller said. A pregnant woman was temporarily trapped in the Avalanche, then taken by ambulance to Spearfish Regional Hospital, the chief said.
