Madison, WI : 30-year-old Stoughton woman killed in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 12 in Madison on Monday, April 20, 2015

A 30-year-old Stoughton woman was killed Monday in a one-vehicle crash in Madison, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.

The crash was reported shortly before 5:30 p.m. on the eastbound Highway 12 ramp to southbound I-39/90, according to a news release from the State Patrol.

According to the release, a 2008 Mazda 5 driven by the woman left the road and struck a tree.

The woman was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.

The crash, which shut down the ramp for about an hour and a half, remained under investigation.
