Washington, PA : Motorcyclist medevacked after collision in Delaware Township on Route 29 on sunday 2:30 p.m. June 8 2014
A motorcyclist was medevacked after he tried to pass a car on Route 29 while it was turning left, police said.
Emily Kopach, 17, of Doylestown, Pa., was driving her Audi convertible south on Route 29 on June 8 at 2:30 p.m. when she signaled for a left turn into a parking area north of Paulmier Road, according to police.
Eugene Reilly, 55, of Washington Crossing, Pa., was allegedly trying to pass her on his Ducati motorcycle when the collision occurred. He was found 160 feet from the point of impact and the bike ended up 200 feet from impact, police said.
The Lambertville-New Hope rescue squad, the Stockton Fire Company and Patrolman Elliot Gray responded to the emergency. Reilly suffered a concussion and several fractures including his shoulder and pelvis, police said. He was issued a summons for alleged careless driving.
