One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash in Scott County on Monday.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports 32-year-old April Godsey of Huntsville was headed north on Norma Road when she failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming pickup truck at an intersection of State Highway 63.

The truck hit Godsey’s car where she was killed upon impact. The passenger, Jerry Corya, 24, of Huntsville was injured.

The driver of the truck, Thomas Reece, 53, of Caryville was also injured.

State troopers are unsure if Godsey was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
