Charleston County deputies are investigating a deadly auto-pedestrian crash that happened early Sunday in the Hollywood area.
According to the sheriff’s office, a vehicle was traveling on Sugar Hill Road near Wright Hill Lane around 1:30 a.m. when a pedestrian walking in the roadway was struck.
The pedestrian, identified by the Charleston County Coroner as Henry Butler, 71, died at the scene, deputies said.
