EAST WALNUT HILLS, OH : Motorcyclist killed in East Walnut Hills crash ID'd on Sunday, August 27, 2017

Excessive speed is a factor in a crash that killed a 34-year-old motorcyclist in East Walnut Hills overnight, Cincinnati police said.

Pierre Beal Jr. was traveling westbound in the 1800 block of William Howard Taft Road about midnight Sunday when he lost control of his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle, ran off the right side of the road, hit a fire hydrant and a utility pole, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Excessive speed is a factor in the crash, according to police. Impairment is unknown.

Beal was not wearing a helmet, police said.

An investigation remains on going by the Cincinnati Police Traffic Unit.
