WHITLEY COUNTY, KY : Child woman dead after Whitley County crash on Tuesday, 13th February 2024

Two people are dead after a crash in Whitley County crash.

According to Kentucky State Police, the crash happened on Bee Creek Road at around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

They say a car was traveling southbound when it crossed the center and struck another vehicle.

According to the Laurel County Coroner, 10-year-old Drake Southerland, who was in the backseat of one of the cars, died. The driver and another juvenile were taken to the hospital and have since been released.
