Authorities say an 83-year-old man who was driving the wrong way on Interstate 69 in Michigan and the 81-year-old passenger in his vehicle have died following a crash.
St. Clair County sheriff's Lt. Jim Terpening tells the Times Herald of Port Huron that the Clarkston man was going westbound in the eastbound lanes on Sunday night when he collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle in Port Huron Township.
Terpening says five people in the eastbound vehicle were injured, including a 46-year-old man who was driving, two 46-year-old women, a 16-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy. They were taken to a hospital for treatment. Names of those involved weren't immediately released.
