SHELDON, NY, 3 dead, 6 injured after crash in Wyoming County on Sunday, 26th May 2019

A deadly car crash in Wyoming County left three people dead and injured six others.

According to police, an SUV carrying nine people from New Jersey was struck by a pickup truck at an intersection on Route 20A around 6:30 a.m.

Two adult women were ejected from the vehicle and were pronounced dead on the scene.

A four-year-old child was taken to Wyoming County Community Hospital for head injuries where she later died.

The other six passengers of the SUV, four children and two adults, were taken to area hospitals. One adult male has been released from the hospital so far.

The driver of the truck, 20-year-old Richard Sawicki, was transported to Erie County Medical Center and later released.
