Stowe, VT : One person injured in head-on crash on Route 100 south of Moscow Road on Friday morning, March 11, 2016

There was a serious accident in Stowe Friday morning. It happened at about 8:20 a.m. on Route 100 south of Moscow Road.

Police say a car headed south crossed the center line and hit an oncoming car head-on.

One driver was rushed to the hospital.

"There is no indication of a fatality at this time," Stowe Police Chief Donald Hull said. "We are just investigating this as a very serious accident until we hear otherwise from the hospital."

Route 100 was closed for about two hours.

A Vermont State Police accident reconstruction team is investigating.
