Wheatfield, NY: Two killed another was injured after hit by a car at Shawnee Road On Saturday, August 20th, 2016
Upstate New York authorities say two teenagers were killed and a third was injured when they were hit by a car as they walked on a rural road.
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office says a party was going on and cars were parked on both sides of Shawnee Road in Wheatfield. Officers responded about 12:20 a.m. Saturday to calls of an accident.
Authorities say four people were walking north in a southbound lane when three of them were hit by a car heading south. Melanie Aronow and Quience Harper were pronounced dead at the scene. Quincy Byrd was taken to a
hospital in stable condition. The victims were all 18 years old.
The sheriff’s office says 20-year-old driver Carly Marrs was treated for minor injuries. No charges have been filed.
