Montgomery, AL : A 25-year-old Tallassee woman was killed on Tuesday, June 20, 2017

A 25-year-old Tallassee woman was killed Tuesday night after her car left the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned, ejecting her from the vehicle.

Kelsey Leigh Moran died at the scene of the crash, which occurred on Rock Springs Road near the intersection of Redland Road in Elmore County.

She was not wearing a seat belt, and a preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol and speed may have been factors, according to a news release from the Alabama State Troopers office in Montgomery.

Moran was driving a 2003 Volkswagon Jetta. The accident occurred at about 11 p.m. Tuesday.

State Troopers continue to investigate the incident.
