Mendota, CA : Man killed in DUI crash near Mendota on Sunday, December 4, 2016

The Fresno County coroner’s office identified the man killed Sunday by a suspected drunken driver as 58-year-old Alberto Correia of San Jose.

The California Highway Patrol said Correia died when the car he was riding in was hit head-on by a car driven by Narciso Lopez Mejia, 34. Mejia was allegedly drunk and left the scene after the accident. Two other people riding with Correia were hurt, but Mejia was not.
