BOWLING GREEN, KY : One injured in U.S. 220 crash at Bowling Green on Wednesday, 2nd November 2016

One person was taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center following a head-on collision just after 5 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Route 220, according to the Allegany County 911 emergency center.

Initial reports that at least one person was trapped in the wreckage were incorrect, dispatchers said.

Cresaptown ambulance took one person to the hospital after responding to the scene along with the Bowling Green Volunteer Fire Department.

The Allegany County Sheriff's Office investigated the crash that occurred in the area of Mulberry Avenue.
