Victorville,CA : Coroner officials ID woman killed in I-15 crash near Main Street on October, Wednesday 4th 2017

Officials released the identity of the woman killed in a crash on Interstate 15 Wednesday evening.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Coroner’s Division officials said Maria Rodriguez, 53, of Hesperia, died after she was involved in a crash on southbound I-15, north of Main Street, on Wednesday evening.

California Highway Patrol officials said Rodriguez was driving a 1998 Toyota Sienna van when a man in a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder “became inattentive” and collided with the back of the van.

The collision caused Rodriguez to “lose complete control” and the van overturned several times onto the right shoulder, CHP officials said. Rodriguez was ejected from the van.

She was taken to Desert Valley Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 9:03 p.m., officials said.

The driver of the Pathfinder was also transported to Desert Valley Hospital for minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
