Baxter County, AR : One man killed and three others injured in crash on Friday October 9 2015
One man was killed and three others injured in a Baxter County crash.Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery states Christopher Lynn Todd, 23, of Mountain Home died following the crash.
It happened Thursday night just after 11 on Old Arkana Road in Baxter County.
A sheriff’s investigator indicated a 1992 Toyota Camry driven by Todd and a 1999 Ford Ranger driven by Bradley Qualls of Clarkridge crashed.Todd was reportedly driving north, while Qualls was heading south on the same road.
Montgomery states Todd’s vehicle “veered into the oncoming traffic lane and struck the Qualls vehicle as they met.”
The truck caught fire. Todd was extricated from his car.
A 10-year-old juvenile was in Qualls’ truck and a 23-year-old passenger was in Todd’s truck at the time of the crash.
An air ambulance transported Todd to a Mountain Home hospital where he later died.
Ambulances took Qualls and the two passengers to the same hospital for treatment. There is no word on their conditions.
Blood was taken from both drivers for toxicology analysis per Arkansas law regarding fatal crashes, according to Montgomery. He said the results are not available at this time.
