WRENTHAM, MA : Multi-vehicle crashes on I-495 in Wrentham on Thursday, January 19th 2017

Multiple vehicles were involved in back-to-back crashes on Interstate 495 near Exit 15, the Wrentham mall exit, Thursday morning.

The first accident on I-495 South, reported to involve five vehicles, took place about 9:30 a.m. The second, on I-495 North, occurred just opposite of the southbound accident site, at about 10 a.m. and involved a tractor-trailer, according to emergency response reports.

The tractor-trailer was reported upright and off to the side a short time after that crash.

At least one person was reported transported to a hospital.
