Toledo, OH : A woman died in a two-vehicle crash in Maumee on Tuesday, December, 12th 2017

A woman died Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash in Maumee, according to Maumee police.

The crash was reported at 7:14 p.m. on Fallen Timbers Lane near the westbound off ramp of U.S. Highway 24. Few details about the crash were initially available, but police said a woman was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, formerly known as the Medical College of Ohio, where she was pronounced dead.

The road was closed for a short period of time. The crash remains under investigation, but alcohol is not believe to be a factor.

The woman’s name will be released after the family is notified, police said.
