Van Nuys, CA : 1 killed in chain-reaction crash on 405 Freeway in Van Nuys on Monday, 30th October 2023

One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Monday morning on the 405 Freeway in Van Nuys.

The crash was reported just after 4:30 a.m. on the northbound freeway north of Sherman Way. The chain-reaction crashes began when a driver collided with the center divider, the California Highway Patrol said. The car when then truck by several other vehicles.

Others involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.
