Deerfield Beach, FL : Two injured in I-95 crash Friday on September 26, 2014

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was injured Friday when a Honda Accord crashed into the back of his patrol car on Interstate 95, the agency said. Trooper Javiel Gonzalez, 31, was in his 2012 Dodge Charger just after 10 a.m. in the inside, southbound lane of the interstate, south of Southwest 10th Street in Deerfield Beach where he was investigating an earlier crash, Sgt. Mark Wysocky said. The Honda's driver, Daphney Pierre, 24, of Miami, was charged with having unsafe equipment, or bald tires. The drivers and Pierre's two female passengers were taken to Broward Health North in Deerfield Beach for treatment of minor injuries, according to a Florida Highway Patrol press release.
